Producers of exceptional and visionary live performance experiences.
Led by Andrew Henry, AHP has a proven track record of engaging fearless collaborators to craft world-class theatre.
Andrew co-founded the independent Juggernaut Red Line Productions after studying with the legendary Steppenwolf Theatre Company in Chicago. In his tenure as Artistic Director of Red Line Productions, Andrew grew to become one of Australia's leading innovators and creative producers of theatre in the country. Across his 9-year tenure as creative custodian of Sydney's legendary Old Fitz Theatre, the venue grew to become the most important crucible of independent work in Australia, with over 550,000 patrons filling the 55-seat theatre. Andrew (along with fellow Red Line founder Vanessa Wright) was awarded the Hayes Gordon Memorial Award for outstanding contribution to Australian Theatre.
Under Andrew's creative leadership, Red Line grew to be a major producer of work on some of the largest stages in the country. Major events and partnerships with national companies and festivals include the ground-breaking revival of Betty Blokk-Buster Reimagined, inspired by Reg Livermore’s Betty Blokk-Buster Follies of 1975, which headlined the 2020 Sydney Festival to critical and widespread audience acclaim.
In 2020 Red Line innovated in the face of the global pandemic to become world leaders in presenting live-streamed theatre readings and live-streamed theatre seasons across the world. Close to 20,000 people tuned in to live streamed performances of: Orphans by Lyle Kessler starring Alec Baldwin; Gruesome Playground Injuries by Rajiv Joseph starring Rose Byrne and Ewen Leslie, with live music by John Butler; Elenoa Rokobaro’s Live in Concert and Thom Pain (Based on Nothing) featuring Toby Schmitz.
After dreaming up a major production of Amadeus over several years, in 2023 Red Line Productions produced a revival of Peter Shaffer’s powerful work starring acclaimed Welsh actor Michael Sheen. The production received 5 star reviews in the major Australian press and played to a sold out capacity of 2000 a night as the headline production of the 50th Anniversary of Sydney Opera House.
In partnership with GWB Entertainment, Andrew presented a landmark revival of Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman at Her Majesty's Melbourne. Featuring internationally acclaimed Anthony LaPaglia, the production was a critical and box office smash hit, securing a transfer to the Theatre Royal in Sydney. Continuing its national impact, the production transferred to Crown Theatre Perth in continued local critical acclaim.
Partnering again with GWB Entertainment, AHP presented the acclaimed Red Stitch production of Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? at the Comedy Theatre Melbourne in 2024. The production will transfer to Sydney in 2025 as part of Sydney Theatre Company’s 2025 Season.
AHP will present the new stage adaptation of Max Porter’s critically-acclaimed novel Grief is the Thing with Feathers, in partnership with Belvoir Theatre as part of their 2025 Season.
